BESIX Unitec develops, installs and maintains signaling equipment on railways. We are also an important pioneer in the implementation of the ETCS, or 'European Train Control System': a safety system that converts the meaning of a railway signal into driving permissions, which measures the maximum speed and the maximum distance that the train is allowed to travel.
