Inauguration of the Ampsin-Neuville Lock

The modernisation and expansion of the Ampsin-Neuville lock have been successfully completed. This large-scale project, which began in the summer of 2018, includes the installation of two new locks, one of which is an impressive lock measuring 225x25 meters with a capacity of 9.000 tons 9,000 tons, and five weirs. These improvements eliminate the last bottleneck for shipping traffic on the Meuse River, significantly facilitating passage.
